The guide was bragging about how fast he could quarter the elk. He started to cut back the skin for a shoulder mount and could barely get through the hide. So, I pulled out the Cub Bear and proceeded to show him how it was done. I finished in short order and I quartered the bull and we packed him out. He was amazed how sharp the Cub Bear was and how it kept the edge. I informed him that I had not sharpened the knife after bear camp and skinned and de-boned 7 black bear. The next day after a double lung shot on a mule deer, the guides knife never left its sheath.
